our story
We make food the way it was made before factories — pressed in wood, ground on stone, pounded by hand. Nothing added. Nothing taken out.
The bite which takes you home
Health & Whole began with a simple question from our founder, Swati Jain Pipersaniya: why does nothing in the shops taste like home? The answer was hard to like. Grains are stripped to look white. Oils are refined until the smell is gone. Spices are mixed with things nobody prints on the packet.
So we went back. Oil pressed slowly in a wooden ghani, the way every village once did it. Ghee churned from curd, the bilona way. Flour from a red stone chakki that turns too slowly to burn the grain. Dal pounded by hand instead of polished by machine. It takes longer. It gives less. That is exactly why it is better.
What we will not do
- No refining, bleaching or deodorising
- No preservatives, colours or artificial flavours
- No adulteration in our masalas — ever
- No shortcuts that make the food cheaper and emptier
Made in small batches
Everything is made in small batches and tested before it leaves. Because nothing is preserved, some things do not keep long — those we deliver only within Bengaluru, fast enough to be eaten the way they deserve.
